Hair transplantHair transplantation in Armenia. The 15 year experience of the surgeons of Da Vinci clinic.
Our clinic is happy to welcome You on our pages!
Hair loss or baldness at any age - is a source of constant stress, but today even much thinning hair - is not the reason for despair. In Da Vinci clinic your problem can be solved.
For more than 15 years of practice in the field of Plastic Surgery, Da Vinci Clinic gained a lot of experience and have conducted more than 700 operations. Hair transplantation is a surgical method of baldness treatment, when the own hair follicles are transplanted from the occipital or temporal areas to balding areas. Hair follicles of the donor region ("permanent hair" zone) are healthy and maintain their anatomical and physiological properties almost to the end of life. The outcome of the hair transplantation is the replacement of the follicles from the parts, where they are represented in large numbers to the area of their absence. Thus, there is a redistribution of own hair. Today in the case of the scar and androgenic alopecia (hair loss) the only effective way to restore hairs is the transplantation of the own hair.
Hair transplantation in Da Vinci clinic!
The operation takes place in three stages:
I. Forming of grafts from the donor site
II. Preparing of the recipient region
III. Graft implantation
I stage. There are two ways of graft forming: FUT and FUE 1. FUT (follicular unit transplantation) - Grafts are formed from the skin flap, which is taken from the occipital region. The doctor selects which zone will be donated due to the skins elasticity and hair density. From that region skin flap is harvested with hair follicles in it. Under optical magnification, dissected flap is divided into micro grafts, which contain from 1 to 4 hair follicles. The work is very laborious, requires special training of medical staff and specialized equipment. The privilege of this technique is the safety and gentility of graft forming which minimizes iatrogenic damage to the hair follicles at the same time. Donor site is closed by 2 layer cosmetic sutures, and the formed scar will be invisible even with a short hairstyle.
2. FUE (follicular unit extraction) - donor follicles (grafts) are extracted in sequence by a special machine without cutting the skin flap (Streep). Small holes that are formed after collection of grafts heal up during a week.
II stage. After anesthesia in the recipient area micro holes are formed by special atraumatic needles. This process is taking place parallel to micrograft formation, thus reducing the rehabilitation period and making possible to reach a maximum thickness of transplanted hair.
III stage. Grafts implantation is performed with special microsurgical forceps and under optical magnification. Grafts are inserted at the proper depth, taking into account the natural direction of hair growth.
Today, during one procedure, in Da Vinci clinic can be transplanted up to 4000 micro or mini grafts, each of them contains 1-4 hair follicles, thus providing a natural appearance with a maximum density after hair transplantation. Hair transplantation in our clinic is hold in comfortable conditions, on an outpatient basis. The operation is performed under local anesthesia, and a duration of transplantation depends on the number of transplanted grafts, it takes from 2 to 8 hours. The patient does not feel pain; he can watch TV or listen to music. On postoperative 3rd day he can wash his hair, and in 5-6th days can return to the normal rhythm of life. Within 2-3 months begins new hair growth, which will continue throughout life. The final cosmetic effect can be evaluated after six months.
